About Me

profile Debalina

Welcome to my site!

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Neuroscience Research Institute at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Before moving to California, I have completed my PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in India and Integrated Masters in Systems Biology from University of Hyderabad, Telegana, India

In the broadest sense, my research area of interest includes phase sepaation biology in cellular health and dieases. My doctoral research involves the study of tumor suppressor protein p53 - its amyloidogenicity and the consequent effect on the prognosis of cancer. For my post doc, I am leveraging optogenetic tools to understang how physiological phase separation in cell systems changes with age. This website contains an overview of my research experience, expertise and education.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
